Witch hazel reduces swelling. I’ve used it for bug bites and acne pimples. Give it a go.

That is what they recommended for me when I gave birth, and it does reduce the swelling. I also try to eat lots of fiber when I have a flare up, to make things move easier, less straining. Those supposotories work well, too, I’d use all 3.
