There are many places on the web you can download hip hop beats. Some are free and some are paid. If you are looking to produce a demo you will probably need royalty free beats and unfortunately you will need to pay for these.
This review site has a review of a few current websites that are offering royalty free beats. I don’t know what the quality is like for all their beats but some of the sample ones sound pretty good.
