I have Logic too and Abelton Live. I prefer Logic and since its an Apple product, it has to be the most compatible. Whether it is best will be decided by you.

Logic is the best on a mac. i know because i use it!

I have used Ableton extensively, but it’s nothing like a traditional "beat making" machine. If you wanted to use step sequencers and whatnot like all the pros do, there’s this online software for like 40 bucks.. I’ve used it a lot…it renders to mp3…I import the file into Ableton for further mangling. But the online software is my "starting point".
