What does it mean when your heart keeps skipping beats for no reason?

I have a friend who’se heart keeps on skipping beats for no reason. She’s been told it’s caused by dehydration, and she’s been drinking water a lot, but I’m not so sure anymore, and neither is she. Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening to her?

Its called heart palpitations.
It can be caused by a varriety of things from sugary drinks to high blood pressure.
Id eliminate the most devastating one first, have your blood pressure measured asap. Normal is 120/80 but thats depending your sitting or standing or walking stance.
Go see a doctor, its worth while checking out, have a blood test too, there may be too much or too little of something in your blood. Check out your electrolytes such as sodium, calcium, potassium in your blood + everything else that they check, cholesterol etc…
tell them you want these tests or they will just brush it off. If your worried about it then theres something wrong. Your body has brought it to your conscious attention for a reason.

This can happen to people for no real reason and it’s fine. At other times medications or surgery are needed to correct it. Because the list of causes is so long, she should really be handling this with the doctor who can examine her and tell her which group she is in.
