Pink Floyd-
A Saucerful of Secrets-it's an incredible journey through sound. The middle section (where the drums kick in) is like controlled chaos.

King Crimson-
Larks' Tongue In Aspic , pts 1&2
Fracture
Red
KC's instrumentals on the three albums released in 73 and 74 were prog masterpieces and were *heavy*. The prog fan in me loves the technicality of Fripp and Co, but the metal fan in me loves the riffs!

Just 1 from each Artist, or I could name you loads just from the following 3 Artists!

"Song of the Wind" by Santana, as it shows off his immense talent better than most. Pure note clarity!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj0zGxDxXVM

"Pali Gap"- Jimi Hendrix. Probably the best track off "Rainbow Bridge", and whilst possibly not in the same class as "Little Wing" it still remains a masterpiece from the greatest guitarist ever, in my opinion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gatrtABXVm4

Lastly, "Black Napkins" by Frank Zappa. It is easy to forget or ignore what a very talented Musician Zappa was, and this needs checking out.

Treat - Santana
Lovely interplay betweeen the Piano and Guitar
Song Of The Wind - Santana
One of the songs the entire genre of Jazz Fusion was based on
Marathon - Santana
Short, but astounding
Cosmic Messenger - Jean-Luc Ponty
Arguably the best Jazz Fusion song recorded.
Blue Wind - Jeff Beck
Same as with Cosmic Messenger, if that ain't, this is.
Led Boots - Jeff Beck
Fantastic jam
Freeway Jam - Jeff Beck
hard to say which is better here, the Guitar or Bass
Journey Of The Sorcerer - The Eagles
Very out of character and unusual, a County Rock instrumental, lots of violins, conveys a real sense of time and travel.
Interstellar Overdrive - Pink Floyd
Mind blowing
A Saucerful Of Secrets - Pink Floyd
The Moog/Choir section at the end gives Me chills of awe
One Of These Days - Pink Floyd
Roger Water's Bass....wow
Satori Parts 1-4 - Flower Travellin Band
Tribal, anarachic, mind blowing
Hyperdrive Reprise - Hawkwind
Makes a perfect companion to Interstellar Overdrive
Theme From The Warriors - Barry DeVorzon
Driving and relentless, sounds like Disco met Zep.
Laguna Sunrise - Black Sabbath
Gorgeous
Fluff - Black Sabbath
Stunningly beautiful to come from purveyors of murky doom.
The Barbarian - Emerson Lake & Palmer
fantastic Organ workout
Abbadon's Bolero - Emerson Lake & Palmer
Ravel's Bolero made Prog
Nutrocker - Emerson Lake & Palmer
Wild, frenzied, out of control
Honky Tonk Train Blues - Emerson Lake & Palmer
The best barrelhouse blues Piano outside of a New Orleans Cathouse
Norderland - Eroc
The Old West meets Lief Ericksson is the only way I can describe it
Wolkenreisse - Eroc
Jangly, atmospheric, and fantastic
Hocus Pocus - Focus
Bizarre, and utterly relentless
Anonymous - Focus
Real Guitar workout
The House Of The King - Focus
Sharp, choppy, medieval
Kohoutek - Journey
Langorous
Nickel And Dime - Journey
Fantstic Rock song, no words
Repent Walpurgis - Procol Harum
Best Piano/Organ jam ever recorded
Arbory Hill - UFO
Short but lovely
Unidentified Flying Object - UFO
Blues Metal Jam
La Villa Strangiato - Rush
Virtuoso workout for Guitar Bass & Drums
Red - King Crimson
Shows why Robert Fripp is so highly though of
Raceway - The Pink Fairies
A titanic Guitar onslaught
Bron-Yr-Aur - Led Zeppelin
Folky, beautiful
Black Mountain Side - Led Zeppelin
Pagey's carnatic masterpiece
White Summer - The Yardbirds
East meets West in Jimmy Page's Guitar
F.U.B.B. - Wishbone Ash
Wow, what a Bassline
The Fish - Yes
Chris Squire's Bass masterpiece
