What are some good meaningful rap songs?
Posted by adminSep 10
Most of my family thinks that all rap is just a big pile of dung. While some are crude and tasteless, I like to believe that there are some that are pretty well written and meaningful. I see it as more of poetry that has some hidden messages and such in it. Being the bigoted people they are, they refuse to acknowledge that some rap is well made and delivered. Can you help me prove them wrong? Some rap that contains messages of political, spiritual, or familial truths would be helpful.

Political, spiritual, or familial truths? Too narrow. Some meaningful rap songs, however, are "Only God Can Judge Me" by Tupac Shakur, "Going Through Changes" by Eminem, "Can I Live" by Jay-Z, and "I Can" by Nas. Those are just some arbitrary examples. "In Da Club" by 50 Cent is pretty profound, too.
