Vocal removers work by removing content in the center of the mix. This also usually includes the bass and drums so even if a program kept the central information it would keep the bass and drums as well as the vocal. You still could not get an acapella with just the voice.
A computer reads data and does not have the ability to distinguish between a voice and instruments.</description>
