Yes, it is normal for the human heart to occasionally experience missed beats. However, this should not occur very often or cause symptoms. If this is the case, then you should discuss this with your doctor during your next visit. However, if you develop chest pain, shortness of breath, several missed beats over a short period of time, dizziness/lightheadness, or other worrisome symptoms, see you doctor immediately.

yes, you probably should, because even if it isnt serious, you have the peace of mind knowing exactly what the problem is. And, if it is a problem, your doctor will be able to help you all that much sooner and possibly avoid complications.

No it is not normal for the heart to murmur.
Yes go see a cardiologist not a general physician. A specialist. Read a bit in the LINK below. There’s a new tool available to help in this area.
Heart murmur is hard to detect clinically and harder to catch it when it’s happening. It took my wife 15 years before it was "caught doing it". The heart murmurs when you have more than one triggering element in your heart that causes the valve to open and shut. That’s the layman explanation. Have the cardiologist explain it in more detail.

Yes, it is normal. Have your Dr. check your heart for a heart murmur. i have it since I was 16 yrs old now I’m in my way late 30’s so nothing serious. Mine skip a beat when I’m sitting so quietly and relaxed and causes me to cough to catch a sudden breath. Once in a great while like once every month or so. If you’re stressed out in a large way then it can happen more often. If you do have a heart murmur then one thing you do know is that when you go to the dentist to have some kind of work done you will need to take some kind of pills before they start the work. Better safe than sorry. Really, there is nothing to worry about. All it is, is that there is a valve in your heart is just not working properly but blood is flowing through your heart. So, get it checked out and have the Dr. tell you all about it. Go get it checked out!

I wish I knew how old you are and what your lifestyle is. Without that info, I will go on to say that yes, you should just go and have it checked out. It could as simple as reducing your caffeine to as complicated as the development of a slight heart block. You don’t say if these episodes cause you any discomfort such as shortness of breath, dizziness, lightheadedness, etc.. If so, even morereason to check it out. The fact that they are noticable to you and are happening more than once daily is enough reason to go.
Good luck!
