		<description>It isn't startling, no. A &#34;normal&#34; heart rate is 60-100 beats per minute.  Right now you are in what is termed bradycardia (slow heart rate), because you are on the cusp of 50, i am not concerned. if you were below 40, i would be.


Prepare for a pacemaker later on in life :-)</description>

I dont know what pounds convert to in kg but your probably a small person,
if true it means that less blood is needed to get to organs because it has less to travel, therefore less beats pm</description>

		<description>That qualifies as bradicardia. I might have spelled that wrong. You should let your doctor know, but I don't think it's bad enough that you need to panic. I think 50bpm is the line for bradicardia.</description>
