I already rank Pacquiao in the top 5 but if he beats Floyd or even knocks him out where would you rank him.
@2 for 1 dolla:There’s no way in hell that Miguel Cotto in overated and Cotto did beat Clottey you must be watching the wrong fight. And a guy that can beat Shane Mosley is not overated.

I am a rare person who rates Floyd Mayweather as the best of this era and a top 10 of all-time. If Pacquiao beats him, he is them the best of this era…and a top 10 of all time guy.

He’d definitely be in the Top 5 All-time along with Ali, Frazier, & Sugar Ray Robinson

These people are funny. There’s no way in hell he could legitimately be chalked up to the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson, etc. Robinson lost his first fight after 132 bouts out of 200, the rest of his losses coming far after he was out of his prime. Manny as of right now rates in the top 20, if he beat Mayweather he’d be in the top 15 maybe. No higher. If he beat 30 or 40+ more prime opponents, then we can talk about top 5. I’m a Pacquiao fan too (he’s my favorite current day fighter), but Pactards like Bundini really have to snap out of it.

He might be #1 all-time if he can go all the way up to 147 and beat Floyd. That’s almost 50% more body weight than when he started!

You rank Pacquiao in the top 5? of all time?
He is seriously nowhere near they top 5 of all time yet. he doesn’t have the names on his record to even be near the top ten yet.
I’d put him about top 25-30 right now and top 20 if he beats Floyd

I would have Pacquiao behind Henry Armstrong and Sugar Ray Robinson for sure. After that it gets blurry on where you put Ali, Marciano, Louis, Leonard, Hagler, Jones Jr. (the old one), and even Hopkins. I will say this though in Mayweather’s defense. If Pacquiao ko’s Mayweather, we are putting him in the category of the greatest fighters of all time. If Mayweather wins, the accolades will be more subtle and no one is talking about Mayweather in the top ten.

Yeah, I’d put him in the Top 5 along with Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis and Henry Armstrong.

I think he’s the best fighter today. When he beats Mayweather, he should be considered one of the top ten best of all time, perhaps the top five.

I will do a Pacquiao imitation. Thank you God for blessing me tonight and I hope the fans enjoy the fight.
The guy is humble. He belongs to one of the GREATEST even if he doesn’t beat Mayweather.

Quite simply as an all time great.

Win or lose, Pacquiao is one of the greatest of all time. If he wins, he’ll be in the top 10. For sure he is already in the top 15 now. He is a very likable and hardworking kid. He does his homework, he’s an exemplary athlete, and I think he deserves the recognition. There’s no shame in crowning him one of the greatest of all time. Manny is a fighter. Sugar Ray Robinson would have been proud of him. The greats know that the game is in very good and capable hands.

Depends on where do you put Floyd Mayweather right now, How highly or low you regard him. Many people are criticizing him despite his supposed outstanding accomplishments. I personally just rank him in the bottom half of boxing’s top 50 all-time. There are just so many boxers particularly in the era of one champion for each weight division ( there were just eight to nine originally ) with just one recognized world boxing governing body that are decided better than Floyd. So, if Manny beats him, his own ranking will not be any better. Perhaps, I will place Manny in the top 40 greats all time. Mind you, he will be in a highly elite, exclusive group. Am also a Filipino but i will not be carried away by my nationalistic bias. Boxing is a universal sport and nationality or race, creed or color should not be allowed to cloud our judgment.

If this happens there should be no doubters about his greatness, I think floyd will win, but if he doesn’t I will apologize to all the Pacquiao fans and give him his props. Although I already know that Manny is a outstanding fighter.

if pacquiao beats floyd– we still have to wait a few years after his retirement to know how he will rank in the boxing patheon. the hype is always strong before a fighter retires– this is part of the business– promoters have to do everything to sell tickets and ppv.
but i will rank him easily within the top 20 (all time greats)– if pacquiao does indeed defeat floyd. this is because he has already slugged it out with the best at featherweight.

If Pacquiao were to beat Floyd, he’d probably be somewhere between the top 15-20 all time.
He does not yet belong in the top 5.

if he wins convincingly he’s in my top 10-15
if he toys Floyd and then KO him brutally, I will put him in top 5-10
if he gives me money and some chicks like Krista Ranillo,
he will be the greatest of all time :]

Has anyone heard of Willie Pep? or Floyd Robinson or Joe Lewis???? These guys are all time fighters…not to mention a guy named Ray Robinson. I am a huge pacquiao fan and he has come a LONG way…If I had to rank him honestly, taking into account how boxing has changed in terms of quality of opposition and frequency of fights, I would say 9th at VERY best. He is amazing to watch and feel privaleged to be able to watch him in his prime. However, I think the best thing about all-time pound for pound lists, is that on any given day any one of these guys would have a shot at beating one another if they fought in similar weight classes.
