Average adult resting rate is 72 beats per minute. It will depend on how much exercise you do as well as how long you live for…
As for babies. I know their hearts beat much quicker… Maximum heart rate is 220 beats minus your age….

Your heart beats about 100,000 times in one day and about 35 million times in a year. During an average lifetime, the human heart will beat more than 2.5 billion times.
Comment by Andrew L on December 7, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Let’s say a beat a second.
60 x 60 x 24 x 7 x 52 = 31,449,600 per year.
Average lifespan 70 years = 2,201,472,000
Crikey, that looks like 2 billion to me!

I think the average pulse rate of a baby is about 80 per minute. If a person lives up to 70 years, the heart would have beaten about 2,577,204,000 [about 2.6 billion times] at an average of 70 beats a minute.

well that all depends…..now if you are a person who has recieved a transplant you could definetly figure this out but it sounds like the most probable answer was about 2.5 billion if you reach age 60. so i say lets go with that answer!
