   May I recommend Ableton.

   If you’re a noob though, I’d suggest you try out Fruit Loops first.

   A drum machine will also work wonders for making beats and sampling songs.

   Fruityloops!! My brother uses this, and he makes awesome beats. You can download it somewhere, there are trial versions on the internet for free. I don’t know how to get the full version but I’m sure it’s possible too.

   Audacity and Nero programs work really good. When you download it there is a tutorial.

   If you’re starting out I would recommend something more like "Cakewalk Kinetic" or "Cakewalk Kinetic 2". You’ll get the basic idea after time and then you can pretty much use any program once you get the hang of it. I started making beats about 3 years ago, and I’m still getting better and learning new styles. Check out Pizzaboyproductions.com. I am finally making money off my hobby.
