Can you name a rapper who has not sold out and actually has something meaningful to say in his or her songs?

Most rappers seem to rap only about their new found wealth, their dominance over their competitors (often through violent means), or their sexual conquests. Often rap songs will contain all three of these elements.
Are there any rappers that really have something to say about life?

Tupac, Biggie and T.I. rap about daily struggles.
Most of today’s rap artists are total jokes.

i’ve always thought Nas was very intelligent and even though i am not a rap/hip-hop person myself, i really like his song I Can.

I’d say Will Smith and Tupac had a lot of meaningful songs, especially Will Smith cause he cares about being a positive role model, and it’s not to say that Tupac didn’t care, but it’s just that some of his songs contained more swears and sexual things in it then Will Smith. Actually,i don’t think Will ever even had swears and sexual contents in his songs.

J. Cole, song that got my attention was Lights Please.
also Mos Def, Common, Nas… there’s a good list, their just not all mainstream.
