Are the Studio Beats by Dre headphones from Monster really worth the money?

I’m thinking about ordering the white ones off ebay or somewhere else. They run for 0 on the beatsbydre website but I know I can find them new for like 0. In my opinion, that is still is a hefty price for a pair of headphones so to all those people who have owned a pair or knows anything about them, are they worth it?

If you make a nice amount of money then go ahead. But think about what you can get with that money? You can get, if you don’t already have one, an iPod Touch or iPhone which both are basically small computers. Now does it make sense to buy an expensive item like headphones that have only one purpose?

Nope, they are not. Go to a local music store like Guitar Center and talk to the guys who work in the headphones area and see what they recommend. If you want some kick ass phones for $250+, look at Grado Labs. Unbelievable sound. The beats by dre are to bass driven and will hurt ya if you are trying to resample music.

Well I got the black ones for Christmas & they are very nice lookin and feel great on head plus the mute button is great too. And I guess you can hear a little more than with like ipod headphones but it’s not an amazing difference & the base isn’t really that strong unless their turned up very loud / pretty much the whole way but you will go deaf believe me. They cancel out noise well but it leaks like crazy if your sittin in a class room everyone will know what your listening to at a loud volume.
Put it this way if you got 350 to blow get em their more of a show off thing anyways.
The white ones are sleek
But if you could invest that money towards like a car payment or a new guitar I won’t get them their not that great. Ebay kind of risky cus their is alot of fake ones out. get them from the apple store I think their only 300
