I think the suckiness of rap has given the whole genre a bad name. Hip-hop is anything from the late 80’s through the 90’s and early 00’s which mostly were more diverse in it’s messages. Rap is this crap we have now. So, do you think the music being put out now, makes it hard for people to tell the difference?

I’m black. I grew up in the suburbs of washington dc in md and say im from dc to make me sound hard. I make vicious beats and put crappy lyrics over them, but to me the beat is all that matters. I pretend that people that have been shot in my area are my friends to look cool. Do I have a shot?
