I really want to start learning to hip hop dance. So im looking for dvds that would be helpful in getting those skills.

So I just started taking hip hop dance for beginners last week, but I find it super hard to keep up. My dance instructor just does the moves without explaining them and she expects us to keep up and memorize them. I have pretty good memory, but sometimes the moves just don’t come out right. They look awkward and unnatural. How can I look like I am actually hip hip dancing and not just moving around awkwardly?

I don’t mean drug dealers or gangsters - just people who listen to the music. Like if you took a person and dressed him up like he listened to rap, and then gave him the look of a metalhead, which do you think would be more intimidating?
