How many beats does a underlined quarter note get? like is it treated as an eighth note and gets half a beat. or is it like a half note and gets 2 beats?

I’m trying to figure out this song by a female hip hop artist. I think the song is a few years old but it’s really slow with a lot of bass and it’s the PERFECT song if you’re alone with your girl/guy.
