I have a worst enemy and I really want to embarrass them with a rap hip hop diss track like Eminem did to Mariah Carey.

I want to create a program in C++ or VB, that can read a song (MP3 file) and on every beat of that song to light something on the Form or trigger a function that shows a message. I just want to catch the beats of the song. After that it’s easy. So, does anybody knows how can I achieve that? Links and tutorials would be great. Thanks!

I know that this is a long sentenced question but why is the rap/hip hop community always about money and not meaning. Maybe it’s just mainstream music but i’m getting tired of it.
