I was just wondering what are some good basic components to a RnB/Hip Hop/Rap beat? In other words, what are the sounds to a basic beat and how does it work? when do the bass drums come in, etc?

I teach hip hop for a dance studio. I have students ages 13-21. I am looking for hip hop songs already mixed that have clean versions to use for a recital dance. Any suggestions?

I own Acid Pro 6.0 and am willing to buy any software around to edit a track and export only an instrumental version of that song. If anyone does this already and can point me in the direction of a program and maybe a tutorial I would appreciate it.
