i always hear other rappers rapping on mixtapes n they use everybody elses beats(thats y its a mixtape) but do they have 2 pay for tha beats 2 b able 2 use em or have permission?

How do I start making cool beats and hip hop sounds like madlib, mf DOOM, and Dangermouse? Do I buy turntables and records?

It seems that respectable new shows are taking time out that they could be using to shed light on under reported situations to criticize hip hop. Why is that? With as many basic issues like war, economy, peace, crime, education. As well as daily issues that come up. Is hip hop really the important to talk about right now? Shouldnt we address more important issues first?

Not the commercial rap moreso underground? Who likes Aesop rock and Cage,Mac lethal? Any others I might be able to download.
