I was wondering what would be good software to record music and make beats on the computer. Not for a mac though?

I've been looking everywhere for the instrumentals to her cover song Home Sweet Home…. Is there any down loadable software I can use to change it into only instrumentals or is there a karaoke version of the song already made??
